God is constantly driven by his own nature to be as near to us as he can, unable,
unwilling to move away because of what we do or what we are, simply because he
not only wants us, but actually needs us, needs us to turn and notice and respond
and to suddenly let go of our own preoccupations and turn and love him. Only then
is God really God, only then is he complete.
