My heart rejoices
My heart rejoices on a spring morning
To see the sun, the sky, the clouds.
To emerge from the winter gloom.
And I remember God's promise when I see the rainbow
Stretching across the sky.
May I care for this Earth
May we wrap it in a rainbow of concern and compassion.
Tread softly upon the earth
For our footprints grow larger.
May I work to continue the promise of God
May I work to ensure the continuation of the seasons
So humanity can prosper
And the Earth bring forth its harvest.
