APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR
Short -Term William Leech Research Fellowships in Applied Christian Theology

Next Closing Dates for Applications: 7th May 2011 and 7th January 2012 The William Leech Research Trust keenly invites applications for Short-Term William Leech Fellowships in Applied Christian Theology.

Short-Term Fellowships can be held for periods of between three and nine months. As with all Leech Fellowships they will be awarded for projects to undertake and disseminate high quality research in order to develop theological reflection on Christian hope, the discharge of Christian pastoral responsibility, and the communication of the gospel in the contemporary context of the U.K., and to engage with the life and churches in the North East of England. This remit will be generously interpreted: the Management Committee is seeking adventurous and novel ideas.

The Fellowships are normally associated, by agreement, with (a) a Church Organisation-broadly defined--- in the North East of England, or (b) Durham University; or (c) the Colleges of St Chad's and St John's, Durham, or (d) Newcastle University.

Projects should have relevance to the North East: Fellows are required to engage with churches of all denominations in the region.

Closing Dates are 7th January and 7th May in each calendar year. The Management Committee hopes to make a decision on each application within six weeks of the closing date. Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that they apply sufficiently early before their proposed starting date so that all the necessary discussions and arrangements can be formalised.

Applications must be submitted in Microsoft Word 97 format to .
